Utterly Mad

So a wrap up of the last three hours of playing kenshi. As I've said, and as Perigrin pointed out, development has happened. The featureless desert is gone and it is replaced with an interesting, if somewhat unattractive, landscape of lush grasslands mingling with rocky badlands dotted with twisted metal hulks.

Gameplay wise, my first action was to mine some iron ore, which I traded for some dried meat. My next action was to pick a fight with a small round raptor critter. The raptor critter pushed my shit in and I ran away. I ran all the way out of the region and into the aforementioned rocky wasteland. I stole a shitton of food from some farmers and sold it to a holy empire armor dealer. I then spent the next hour getting beaten about the head and shoulders with metal rods. I very slowly limped my way back to the base to heal up, when I was ambushed by a pair of dogs. When I came to after that, I pulled some new clothes off the body off an escaped slave and treated my wounds only to find that my right leg and left arm were mangled beyond use. As of the moment I quit, I've made a partial recovery and have gone back to the farm I robbed to see if I can steal more stuff and to see about using it as a launching point for making my own mark on the world.
