I think this would make peoples decision to purchase more measured and less naive, and they would feel less cheated if they didn't like the product. There would be no "BUT THE TRAILERS AND STUFF FROM BEFORE THE GAME WAS RELEASED WERE DIFFERENT! BAH! BAH! I WAS LIED TOO!" And because of that, I think I can actually respect this move on Bethesdas part as a good thing. It's more honest.
