While renovating my place (in salem) I discovered the startling reality of splash damage. To explain, when a wall segment is destroyed, it "splashes" and damages the wall segments adjacent to it. The thing about this splash damage though, is that the wall segments it splashes into doesn't have to be adjacent. When you break a wall segment, the splash can reach 3-5 spaces in any cardinal direction to damage the first structure the splash encounters. The splash from a corner post is even more severe. Repairs on the brand new walls were extensive, or to put it another way, a massive fucking hassle.
