I watched some leaked gameplay and I'm super excited now
I FUCKING KNOW RIGHT! I LITERALLY JIZZED SPARE CHANGE! MY DICK IS BLEEDING NOW, SEND HELP!
It is going to be awesome. I've been telling you guys this since the goddam trailer came out. Only a few more days guys. I can't wait to shoot more things.
Also, think of the fucking MODS that are coming for it. Total conversions, overhauling anything you don't like, new quests and areas, companions. Think of it.
A part of me is still skeptical, and I really would've wished to see the New Vegas style of writing and storytelling expanded upon with its use of factions.Listen a part of me that loves New Vegas really wants there to just be another New Vegas, with Obsidian having all the time they need to create the game instead of it being rushed. Did you know that there was two areas dedicated entirely to the NCR and The Legion? They were about the size of Old World Blues or Zion. The NCR's area would've been around Route 44 (the place with the Statues) where you could head to California and actually meet President Kimball there, and see how the NCR is holding up on their home turf. And The Legion was originally going to have a ton more to it because they were going to add Colorado and The Legion Homelands into the game. You'd see the huge collection of tribes that Ceaser keeps talking about.
Also there was supposed to be a post game after the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam, the 2nd Battle was like how the world ends in Final Fantasy 6. You face off against the main boss, and then the late game begins. Depending on who you sided with, you'd have to defend New Vegas if you went independent, or help out your factions cause further. THERE'S DIALOGUE IN THE GAME FILES THAT FUCKING PROVE THIS! Every unique, and common NPC has something to say about what you did at The Dam. Its fucking crazy, and probably why Ulysses got cut and turned into "muh Old Worlds" instead of the wise, "mentor" of the courier, he'd always counter the courier no matter what or who he sided with and it wasn't because he was infatuated with the Old World.
Its this level of depth that I'm wanting to see in Fallout 4, I want to see what I do have consequences, I want to shape the gameworld like dough depending on what I do. Unlike Skyrim and Oblivion, I want to feel like my existence in the world had some purpose other then being an immortal errand boy.
But on the other hand I love Fallout, and just seeing that it exists fills my gut with butterflies. Even though the animations are better, the lip sync and talking animations are terrible, and some of the textures look a little shit. Other then that everything looks beautiful in motion, seeing how laser beams cast light when fired, how much smoke is produced off of one grenade, and how much shit flies everywhere during firefights is just really amazing to see. I just hope there's that moment when everything clicks and I get so sucked into the world its all that I can think about. (AKA: Switching to PC masterrace so I don't get buttfucked by Bethesda like I did with PS3 Skyrim.)
