im the massive purple blob up at the top, franticly negotiating with orange and chewing red into little chunks for my empire. everyone else here can say what is happening between them here.

if you learn to game the system, and effective tactic is a strategic retreat where you put as many ships exactly as needed, and you can do an insane ammount of attrition damage that way.

That's fair enough. I suppose he's simply regrouping which is fine, but it does mean i'll easily have gained two stars and have an easy gateway

uh no. You have to pass a specific star to get to my other planets. guess where a bunch of units are going. Smart decision on my part I think.
