I was thinking while playing this fort, and it just occurred to me now while thinking about my turn, I'm having a hard time playing DF without soundsense. The game is fine without all the sound effects and music it adds and I can play without it. But when combat was happening, I had no idea when it was finished because there were no sounds to show that it had finished and none to indicate that it was still going on. Same goes for the seasons. Soundsense announces the seasons for you, without them I kept having to view the announcements log to see what the date was. Of course there was the notification at the bottom of the screen, but it would only appear for a bit and then vanish.
