That. Was fucking beautiful. I am kinda annoyed that we haven't gotten invaders, instead a minotaur gets there first. Holy shit. And I'm amazed they had such an easy time of it, given in my last bold fort, troglodytes were giving them trouble. XP

I looked through the logs more closely while getting the save together. Looks like his weapon of choice was a bone ring he snagged off one of the first three guys - those he punched to death with pretty much a single hit each.

Poke whomever. You guys are welcome to go again too if you feel like it.

I just re-read that - the last half was written between like 3-5 in the morning and I was pretty much half asleep. You can tell, because that's when the fucking fuck fucker fucknob really starts coming out. 117 times, to be precise. When Apa's turn eventually rolls back around again, she's going to anger management.

Tempting, but I would like to see if we can get more people to try this. Plus I'm currently committing !!SCIENCE!! on forts to see if I can get any info on what might sieges occur more reliably.

Part of why I build the "secret weapon" was to see if roads would still pull stuff in. I'd call it a partial success? Should also give archers some time to shoot building destroyers while they are busy knocking over 180 copies of the Warmaster. Oh, and one of Bubba.

There's the save, packaged with the game like Salty did. That was a good idea. Couple of notes for the next dude:

1. RD, Salt, and myself are burrowed in the temple basement. I was trying to get us together for a good final screenie, but I wouldn't stop listening to the goddamn bards. Kinda forgot to take us out, but you might want to.
2. For all the war-mastery-ness, I never bothered to set up training schedules - I was a little busy building the sekrit weapon. There's 4 squads now, so it shouldn't be tough. They're all pretty unskilled, but kitted out.
3. I won't be offended if you kill the "torches". They look neat, but kill the framerate a bit. A must for me as I'm used to huge embarks and this one runs wayyy faster than I'm accustomed to.

It's a pretty easy fort to run relative to some community games. Don't be scared guys! :P

Angry is easy to write stuff for. Just find a bunch of different ways to call everyone a variation of "fuck____", haha.

The torches are gem windows. When you add more than one color, it will alternate them. The one in the temple basement is green, dark green, and purple, the temple upstairs is similar. The ones plastered all over my crap are red and purple. I made a tower fort with a gold chandelier spanning most of it's height back in .40d and used them as "fire" since piping magma up there was beyond me, now they end up in most of my forts.

Not being good or trying something that's not maybe very well thought through are pretty much the kind of things that make these games. Besides, "good" is relative. Don't get the fort killed and do little? Good. Get the whole fort killed, but do so because you accidentally collapsed it all into the magma lake while trying to find a way to harvest giant cave spider webs to make slinky things for your dwarfs? Also good.
