Since I got a Steam card for christmas, I got myself the last 3 DLCs for ArmA II, so I've been screwing around with those however I can on a high-end laptop.

Now I can't decide whether I want H1Z1, Rust or 7 Days to Die with the remaining cash left in my Steam wallet (~$15)
unless you are trying accommodate a massive pair of testicles or hiding a secret booze pouch, your pants are far too large.

Get 7 Days to Die, H1Z1 is basically DayZ 2.0 with microtransaction that and it'll become free once it eventually releases, I would've recommended Rust until I saw the newest "roadmap" for it where they're trying to include a fucking leveling system that can buff your health and what's even worse is that the levels you start with are random so you could spawn with extremely low health and high food production which makes you pretty fucking useless in a game focused on PVP so wait for Rust and see.

However 7 Days to Die is like Minecraft with better monsters, crafting, and physics. I tried to play with friends but we hardly found each other or we got too far spread out. However when I started playing it in single player or on servers by myself (AKA finding people to buddy up with) the game started getting better, there's a lot to do in the game and I'd compare it to Cataclysm (not DDA, just plain Cata) with the types of enemies and locations. It really is a fun game, but performance issues and stuff leave something to be desired. If you got a high end laptop you'll be able to run it just fine on medium settings. But the game's graphics aren't really pretty on any sort of "high, low, medium" level so you won't notice much difference in the models, the textures is what the quality truly effects.

7 Days To Die can be pretty fun too. I enjoyed all the time I have spent with it, and would recommend.

I just think it is a good game to goof around with friends in. Alone it is honestly no fun at all in my opinion.

I also quit 7D2D. I used to really like that game until the fucked the world gen and got rid of the ability to crouch under the reasoning that crouching wasn't "realistic" for a zombie survival game. yes, that's what they said. crouching wasn't "realistic." Also can't stand the blatantly lifted rust style resource system that the fun pimps keep trying to convince people is their own original system. Honestly, I used to recommend it, but I really can't anymore.

Oh tits I must've still been playing an old version then.

Fuck it, just go to GoG and pick up some classics Deus Ex is a pretty good one, the original Fallouts are really good once you get into the CRPG groove, and Blood is a fun one but it's a ass to get running.

OH AND ADDING TO THE LIST OF GAMES THAT THE DEVS ARE FUCKING UP! Darkest Dungeon, holy shit the game was hard before but the new "heart attack" system is fucking bullshit. Seriously, there's no efficient way to relief stress unless you're camping (which doesn't count on smaller missions) or doing well in a battle and in order to do well in a battle your buffs and dice rolls must be in your favor.

But if one of your character's passes 100 stress they could randomly die of a heart attack, doesn't matter how well or how healthy they are, they just get instakilled. Not to mention some of the bosses are really unbalanced.

What gets on my tits even more are the fucking people defending this shit, "Oh well the game is supposed to be hard, you're just whining for no reason" Listen you cuck, I payed for early access to provide input and help shape the game, it's still a game in development, which means feedback is necessary to make it better. I haven't even bothered posting complaints on the Steam forum, because Steam forums are a new breed of cancer with blind fans and dumbasses that make the rest of us look bad.

OH! Also why not add Escape from Tarkov a game that doesn't even have a beta, promised there wouldn't be Pay2Win elements, and yet includes about 6ish special limited editions of the game with the highest one "letting you maybe get into the alpha". I signed up for the alpha of this game, why does the limited edition tell you that they'll maybe get into the game, if they shell out 200+ dollars for the most expensive edition they should be guaranteed to get into the beta. Nevermind they changed it to guaranteed. OH! BUT WAIT! The exclusive expensive editions give you a unraidable safebox, several weapons that you can lose (I think?), and the devs lying so fucking hard it isn't even funny. I hope I get in the alpha, because I really want to experience it first hand, I want this game to be good, please God let it be good.

If there's one good thing coming out of all of this, is that I'm getting more and more inspired to start working on The Highway or some project to get experience. Because shit like this is really pissing me off. I really hope it gets better in 2016.

Hey, just so you know, I would be super happy to help you with a Highway related Game project. Maybe a Fallout 4 mod, as you can actually write a story, unlike Bethesda.
Also, started playing Payday 2, and holy amazeballs where has this game been all my life.

Eh I don't really want to make The Highway a mod for Fallout 4, if anything I'd probably write and piece together something standalone to compliment Fallout 4's world which is a well-crafted one.

The Highway right now (from what I'm looking at/wanting) is more like a real-time CRPG, where you can pause the game whenever you want, you control a squad (AKA: the crew of an RV, Truck, ETC) of NPCs that either were in the game or were created by you (like Wasteland 2). And I want the inventory system to be grid-based, kinda like Deus Ex, STALKER, or System Shock 2 because I really like grid based inventory something about seeing a bunch of images neatly arranged (or tossed carelessly in a cluster fuck) feels really satisfying to me.

But the only thing holding me back besides personal laziness and obligations to other projects (like the damn Youtube series I'm wanting to start in a couple of weeks) is my own personal shitty art skills and lack of experience. I could be a codemonkey all I want, but if I have not a single clue about how to program a game or how to write several equations that make up your torso or whatever then ain't nothing going to be happening.

So in order to get some experience I've decided to work on something smaller, remember that RP thing I made The Tide which was supposed to be like a cyberpunk crime game set in a heavily urbanized Hawaii. Well I'm going to turn that into a game, you basically play as an elite agent who gets dropped in a huge sprawling tower complex that splits off into two sizable buildings. It'd be kinda like a Metroidvania game, but saturated in neon lights and maybe have a "time system" in place so that the weather outdoors would gradually change from rain, to sunny day, to weirder shit like pollution storms and electric tsunamis that mess with the lighting indoors. And since I have literally no experience in sprite work, I might do an equally lazy thing and just do what they did in the early 2000s. Make really blocky models and apply textures over them.

Look out baby because AJ's bringing sexy back:

Anyways I learned Python and C++ when we attempted to make the original highway game. If your body is ready to stick this through, then I will be ready. Hell the only reason I didn't start working on it myself is that it felt wrong to not do it with you.

I've been playing Undertale.
It is exactly as good as everyone said it was.
I am not near done with it, but it is already my favorite game of 2015, and possibly ever.

I have started playing MWO again, and it has improved quite a bit. Pretty fun, lots of mech variety, you no longer lose money on a bad match, and the Faction Warfare is in. But people are SO BAD at it in general, although that might be because I am still in the low skill tier.
