HM is so damn buggy though. Crashing every few levels.

Turn off the steam overlay.

Otherwise GOG has some guides on how to fix it, like running it in XP mode.

Also I'm almost done with Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth. After I'm done beating that I'm either going to play Deus Ex 1 or I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream; I picked them up for cheap during that "Cyberpunk" sale.

I'm currently switching back and forth between 7 Days to Die, Empire: Total War, Far Cry 4, and Dead Island.
The path to Liberty is not always a legal one.

My Thoughts on Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth since I finally beat it:

I wanted to like it, honestly. I'm a fan of HP Lovecraft ever since I found out about his creatures and monsters. And the first two chapters were great, I liked exploring Innsmouth and I liked the raid on the Marsh Refinery.

But Goddamn after that boat chapter the game became unfair, difficult, and made me feel like the game was crafted by Cthulhu's own evil hands. Bugs fucking everywhere, to the point where I had to download a speed-cheat just to beat the ending: Basically you're escaping a city being destroyed by torpedoes, you're also on a very short timer. So in the Xbox version Jack ran faster, that means you could always escape in time... well in the PC version Jack runs like his feet have bowling balls strapped to them. So you can never beat it in Vanilla unless you get really-really lucky and managed to speed your way past the fallen debris.

So after a great 5 Hours worth of gameplay, you get another 7 hours worth of bugs, glitches, bullshit trial-and-error gameplay, and a load more stuff that makes you feel more frustrated then helpless. There is some charm to be had though, playing it reminded me of the games I used to rent from Blockbuster or Hollywood Homevideo; where the game would be fun and easy, until you hit a threshold and have to rewatch the same cutscene over and over again until you beat it (IE: Kingdom Hearts, Pitfall for Gamecube, God of War, SOCOM, Final Fantasy 10 was notorious in my neighborhood for that fish boss bullshit), then you either get lucky or you rage quit.

Eitherway, it taught me how Bethesda still made buggy messes of a game even in 2006.

Ck2 with mods is good.

Ck2 with too many mods is even better, I have become the vampire mass-seducing sorcerer king of Bavaria, say 'nay' to my rule and you shall be a leper! Say 'yay' and thee shall be an attractive, genius strong person by the end of the week! Say 'nay' even harder and I will duel your eyelids off you little battycount/duke/king/emperor/lowborn. Thanks Peri for making me question muh sexualities once again.

Bethesda can write amazing storylines and lore but their execution is abysmal, I'm sure their coders are a group of monkeys and their art directors are great, but the actual artists, like the modellers, are also monkeys, since most of their games are quite ugly for their time.

On topic though, I started playing Total Annihilation with the Escalation mod again recently.
Need to find some decent, well made and expansive mods for TA but most of them look like they're a copy of Escalation or just poorly made.

Hotline Miami's 2 ending was... Unexpected. Totally not what I wanted. THAT IS NO WAY TO END A GAME DANGIT.
Love and peace, art and cats.

I am no longer playing Fallout New Vegas because I was going through the Russel Mod questline and part of it is irreparably broken and it completely prevents me from doing anything, I can't even skip the quest through the console because the Quest ID apparently doesn't exist. Fuck, that was my longest running character.

I've started my addiction to Space Station 13 once more. I'm currently switching between Hippie and Goon, yes I love me some unregulated SS13 chaos. Since all the RP'ers are a buncha douchebags that need to have their 'special snowflake furry creatures' and then have sex in all the places. Seriously, why does HRP on Space Station 13 suck so much dick... and I mean that literally.

The only one that I haven't been to yet is Vorestation, and despite the name I heard those people are actually really nice and accepting... except for the fact that there's a ton of Special Snowflakes. I might visit there once to see how it is; then regret my life choices and head back to Goon.
