Oracle Station

...because I want to write some sci fi okay...I'll eventually stop making threads...maybe...IDK why I'm even writing this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oracle Station, a peaceful space station that was originally built by Humanity and the race called Orcs to symbolize their new found peace after the Wars. It has since become quite a popular location for vacations and commodity traders.
Of course we're not going to be talking about this like it's some history text book. After all why should I bore you observers with detailed background and history that will just put you to sleep? No no no, let's just let you see what life was like for one of the Security Officers.
---
Leroy sighed as he walked into the locker room in the back of the Security Station and changed into his uniform. As he closed his locker one of the big Orcs walked in and sighed "How's it goin' Leroy?"
Leroy, only having been here for the last two months, was still acclimating to Orcs that could both speak english and were not the horrifying visage that the old TV ads made them out to be in The Wars. He hesitated before saying "Good, just another shift as a Security officer. A lot better then if I'd gotten assigned to engineering or worse yet..." Leroy shuddered "...Waste Management Officer."
The Orc grimaced at the mention of that horrid job then said "Just ta let you know there's been a couple of robberies at the Pavilion in Wing 2. Might want to spend some time there and try to bust the boys robbing the traders."
"Thanks Mort, I'll be sure to patrol over there first thing." Leroy said, then walked out of the locker room and into the Security Station proper.
He checked his Wrist-Comp and saw his partner for the day's name. He walked into the briefing room as the chief wrapped up. "...remember, keep the peace, enforce the law, and be good Officers."
The chief nodded in his direction and then walked towards his office. Leroy nodded back, a kind of non-vocal acknowledgement that he and the chief had developed. It was a bit of a hassle when you were related to the chief, and vocalizing it wasn't particularly in Leroy's interest. He waited until his partner, Jorge, to get up before shouting over to the Orc. "Yo, Jorge come on we're heading to the Pavilion at Wing 2!"
Jorge walked over to him, visible feeling kind of odd in the uniform of a Security Officer. "Hey, uh it's Leroy right?"
Leroy nodded and turned to head out of the Station, saying "Yeah, that's my name. And if you've been talking to the guys no, my last name is not Jenkins."
Jorge blinked as he followed Leroy "I...uh...but how did you...?"
Leroy looked over his shoulder and smiled "It's been said enough times that I've started catching people before they manage to say it. Anyway you got all of your kit? Pistol, wrist comp, baton, citations mini-printer?"
Jorge nodded as the two got into a small transport and began heading for Wing 2. The ride went by silently, and then they were on patrol. It was nearly a half hour before anything happened.
Jorge spotted a couple of guys nabbing a loose piece of jewelry and shouted. The two men took off on foot and Leroy and Jorge pursued them. The pursuit ended when the two robbers found themselves cornered in an alleyway between housing units.
The two pulled weapons and took cover, firing a couple of rounds and one of them shouting "You come closer we'll kill you!"
Leroy and Jorge took cover and Jorge said "Already told Station that we've got em pinned here, it'll be about ten minutes before we get back up."
Leroy sighed and pulled out his pistol "These guys ain't gonna wait ten minutes Jorge."
Jorge looked at him, pulling out his own larger Orc pistol out and getting ready. Leroy sighed once more before shouting "LEROY JENKINS!"
and rushing the two.
Caught off guard the two didn't fire for a moment, and when they did it was too late. Leroy shot one in the shoulder and tackled the other to the ground. As Jorge rushed up Leroy had the one in hand cuffs and shouted for Jorge to get the other, whom promptly obeyed the Orcish Officer and asked for medical aid.
"Good work Jorge." Leroy said as their back up arrived. "Little late fella's!" Leroy shouted at them and shoved one of the robbers into a cruiser.
Just another day on the job.

I enjoy it because space stations are a strange thing. I like them a lot! You know, I didn't get the Leroy Jenkins things until he screamed it. I was like, "Huh, Leroy has been called Leroy Jenkins a lot? Very peculiar..." and despite the dialogue it didn't occur to me until Leroy screamed that into battle. It was a great build up.

Anyways, smol grammar error:  "Yeah, that's my name. And if you've been talking to the guys(insertcomma), no (insertcomma), my last name is not Jenkins."

It confused me because I thought he was saying "...know my last name is not Jenkins." like "You should know that." but I see he's saying "No, my last name is not Jenkins."

For something that was just made tonight it's not that bad honestly. I think that the chase scene between the Sec officers and the robbers could've been longer, but that's a minor thing.
