Klaastren: The First Age (Collaborative/Name Pending)

Heyo, so I've been thinking and planning and I've kind of decided to make a fully fleshed out RPG setting to run DnD or other applicable games in. I'm actually probably going to make a few different 'sub settings' based in the same world, but at different stages of technology or after certain events. If you guys want to work together on this I'm up for that as well, but I'm going to go ahead and retain the right to say No to things, just because someone will invariabely try to add something that is just way too far. The only contribution rules are that it has to fit with the current setting being devved (IE Fantasy) and that you can't throw a fit over me saying no to something, if you have a problem with me not letting something through PM me, though if this gets enough attention I'll probably make a discussion thread for it.
so let's start
-------------------------------------------
The world is only a mere 3 million years old, so young for something of it's kind. Of course to tell this worlds tale we must go back a million years to truly begin it's history, well the interesting parts. Before then it was all lush green forests, blue oceans and rivers, and towering mountains made by the Gods.
At the age of 2 million the God Lorrel made life to satisfy his boredom, making the first sentient creatures to roam the world. The humans, as they were so called, spread prolifically and the God Vult declared that these creatures must cease to live on the world that he had helped create, just as the animals and plants died. So it was that Vult became the God of Death, sending forth his vulture like shades to meet the dead and bring them to the afterlife.
The other Gods and Goddesses soon took interest, and many of them began making their own races, much to Vult's annoyance. He in turn made creatures to help reduce the number of these infuriating creatures, for to him they were naught but toys of the other gods that destroyed the land he had helped to shape.
There were the Humans, a folk made of rock and metal known as the Core-Forged, A reptile folk who lived with the waters known as the Gottel, and many more. In turn Vult made the Vorress, a species of shadow creatures who know only how to kill, the Serval, a species made of bones that deal death as well as they deal cards.
The Serval, unlike their shadow brethren, evolved into a society all their own. They enjoyed war still, but to them it was a mere pass time to them, something that was done not for land or resources, but for sport. Upon meeting the other races they quickly understood that war was no joke to them, and quickly apologized for initial transgressions, which were met with acceptance tinged with threats. They also invented gambling under the guidance of Lorrel, and it quickly spread to most of the other races.

And so you know the beginnings of the different species that inhabit the world, and like me you are but merely an observer here to watch things unravel. So I shall continue, so that you might better understand.

Lorrel is the God of curiosity whom is bound to either mischief or benevolence depending on his mood. The other Gods look at him as a child, someone who does not fully understand what he is capable of. However behind his happy and careless exterior he knows full well what he can do and what the consequences could be. Of course like all the other Gods he has his secrets.
Vult is the God of Death and knows not but seriousness and forlornness. Oh he has his kind moments, but for the most part he is a heartless God who oft does not answer calls of his name from the Mortals. He has helped some of the greatest heroes known to the Mortals, though the other Gods do not know this, it is a secret he keeps close to him.

------------------------------
and that's what I got for now, I'll get more done tomorrow.

Alright, and for now I have a smaller piece but a piece none the less.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Humans lived in several different factions, as all the races did after all. Today though we will discuss the faction known only as The Legion. A very military oriented faction that seeks to control any land it can acquire.
They are trained with swords, spears, bows, and chariot attacks, along with many more disciplines. They rarely burn towns they conquer, but they are swift to enforce their laws in them. Their most feared group of soldiers are known as the Black Cross, so named for the large metal crosses that adorn the shoulders of their metal armor. They are known for showing no mercy to the enemy, and treat enemy deserters as traitors, killed on the spot.
Of course civil life is amicable within their borders. Civilians are treated with great respect by the guard, and crimes thoroughly investigated before judgement is passed. The government regulates prices on the vast majority of things, including food and alcohol prices.
Their capital is a city called Altallia, so named after the god that their former ruler worshiped. The city is a grand looking place that is home to some of the biggest celebrations known to the world. The local guard is also extraordinarily efficient at their job, and crime is almost none existant, well what's reported anyway.
