Since this is Alternate history it's pointless to mention, but I will anyway. The Thompson was an American SMG, it was also stupidly heavy, but anyways, does this mean the UIK is slightly American influenced?

The NI might be a little uhhh... Politically difficult with a few Brits, NI stands for Northern Ireland to us and there were a few Troubles with Ireland not so long ago, there's still a few occasionally to this day. So militarising anything with the name NI might end up being accidentally political, especially if they end up with any Irish influences or being essentially a resistance cell, which is what the IRA saw themselves as and we still have a vehement hatred for them.
And just to point out, as a Brit, that's more or less how they feel, extremely Irish, extremely similar to the IRA.
