"HELLLLLLOOOOO!" Sammy said as she saw the ship float on by. She would wave at whoever was in the ship and wear a smile on her face.

Griffin:
((The crawler has 2 rubber treads. You know, like on smaller excavators.))
You recon that the path is too narrow to drive in through. Besides, you'd probably just make too much noise, and alert the bandits.
You instead walk on down the path, and find the store in question.
"Dean's Pharmacy"

There's someone or more making noise in there...

Lucy:
There's a small girl on the left side of the bridge, waving and shouting at you.
I regret nothing.

Lucy looks around for the source of the voice, before noticing the person on the bridge.    " HEY I GUESS?   WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?"

"I'M SAAAMMMMMMMY! Where are you going?" Sammy said as she approached the boat, trying to watch her footing. It was steep after all!

Graham takes out the length of rope and asks, "What could I get for this?" he places it on the trader's stand(?)

Griffin sneaks, making as little noise as possible, and looks through the window.

"I'm going somewhere, I dunno.   Name's probably Lucy."  She says, rowing to shore.

Graham:
"Your rope? Don't think you'll get much for that. Besides, you'll need that to climb the towers and such."
The trader pulls out something from the stand, and puts it on it. It's a tribal telescope, made from scrap and old lenses.
"But I'd like to give you this, Graham. It's something I've been working on, and I'd like you to try it on the field, if you don't mind..."

Griffin:
The large window into the store is dusty, but with a slow, discrete swipe, you look into the store.

There's a campfire in there. But otherwise there's noone there. There is another door in the back though.
I regret nothing.

"Eeeh, fine.    You're rowing though, whats-your-face."   Lucy tosses the oar to Sammy.

Sammy catches the oar before it smacks her in the face. A single tear rolls down her face as she plops her heavy food laden bags on the bottom of the boat and begins rowing.

" So, where you headed?  Not like I care or anything, I mean.  Nope."    Lucy asks, coughing lightly.

Griffin:
You break the window, and scream into the store. The noise your heard earlier is noone to be seen. Or heard, for that matter...

It's silent inside. But without the dirty glass, you notice tracks leading through the back door. Human, and dog tracks.

Sammy & Lucy:
You start rowing inland(?) at a steady pace.

Soon you reach the edge of something strange.

There's a thick cloud of smoke ahead, engulfing the canal. Yet the sky is still mostly clear, and the sun is still up. It smells bad, like really bad.
But it doesn't seem dangerous. In fact, the only danger is not seeing that well on the canal.

You note a sign on the side aswell, written resently.
"DARK CANAL"
I regret nothing.
