SUNKEN HARBORS
"Each story needs a hero. A leader of the men, and the Captain of them all. This woman would be Jolie Vanblough, the Tamest **** of the Black Sea. No Captain could ever hope to survive the seas without a trusty First Mate, and the lucky bugger of the Ship Delfino Plaza was Thomas Marston. The crew would always need a Gunner, someone to man the canons to fire back at the deadly beasts below. None other than Blackjack manned these stations with pride, and deadly accuracy. By his side repairing and re-oiling, was the Engineer and mechanic of the ship, Allan Fraser. The ship was a body, and the crew were extensions and appendages that gripped tightly to the dark, haunting life under the sea. These appendages needed repair by the precise Surgeon, Donavan Krieger. Then, the wild card of the group. The jack-of-all trades when it came to appraisal, cooking, mopping, and other tasks that no one ever wanted to do, Zar Volkrum was there to get the job done. This was the start of a brave crew to set out into the Black Sea in search of the Gods who bring destruction and mayhem to the already unfortuitous life. The Crew would set out to destroy them and free themselves from the hell that is the Black Sea. They would fight deadly monsters, the insanity in their mind, mutiny and greed if they were to ever accomplish this, and maybe, just maybe, they would be the first to find the greatest treasure of them all."

Rules
1 - By submitting a character sheet, you agree to all of the following rules.
2 - If you join this RP, you are dedicated to give at least a month of service. This means posting at least once a day any time you get.
3 - Posts are to be quality over quantity. There needs to me interaction and intrigue between long voyages in the dimly lit cavern that is the Sunken Harbors world. You are expected to put your best work into it your posts and create a meaningful story.
4 - You will read everyone's posts to the last period. By joining, you agree to read each other's work. We are all here to enjoy this thing, whatever it is, about RP. Take the time to read everyone's post because it CAN effect you and if it does and you ignore it, I will have a word with you after breaking that rule a few times. On top of that, it's just the right thing to do.
5 - Do not make your character have these weird character arcs going on behind the scenes. If you have plans for your character that could potentially derail or destroy this RP, you must inform me. If you go on about these things without consulting me, I have full right to shut down what you're doing, kick you from the RP, and move past everything you did as if it did not happen.
6 - By joining, you understand that I have the right to decline you a certain position. Just because you chose Captain first does not mean you will be getting it.
7 - As mention before about quality of quantity, there is Insanity that you characters will gain over time. This must, absolutely must, effect how your character acts. I will give you prompts and actions privately, but you're expected to roleplay as a real sailor trying to survive in this strange world.
8 - There are some words that can be considered offensive, and if I spot one of them that crosses a few barriers, I reserve the right to expel you from the RP.
9 - Do not make me add more rules.
In addition to these rules, here are the new rules.
Events will be managed by players. (Pirate raids, discovering islands, management, etc.)
Certain people will be able to start certain events. ( A can create Enemy Events, while B focuses on island discover and navigational descriptions.)
Events should only happen if the situation calls for it.
Everyone will be able to create NPC interactions, but not everyone will be able start hostile enemy interactions.
During combat scenes, there is no longer a judging factor to decide if you get hit, or you hit. Therefore, the Furaotic's Fair's Fair Rule comes into play meaning: You must create an interesting story with your character
when it comes to combat. If your character lands every shot, they are not interesting. If you character dies in one fight, they are not interesting. Those things make the story unfair to everyone else, so you must be fair.
I at the end of the day still have final say if we disagree on matters in OOC or IC or in general.
The purpose has switched from mechanics to story telling, which means that your posts must reach a certain standard. I've seen writers create beautiful one sentences that blow me away, so if you can amaze me and everyone else in one sentence, great. However, no one is a one liner god, so your posts must often be lengthy, checked for grammar and spelling errors, and must push the story forward in someway. No writer puts something in for no reason, and that's what we are at this point so do not do that. You must also be willingly ready to accept critiques and critisism on what you post by myself and anyone else.
It is encouraged that we discuss what plans we have next for IC in OOC. Ask, "would it be interesting if..." or "Do you think we could..." Ask questions and bring up possibilities, and those ideas can then be explored in the IC.
Taking control of another person's character is okay, as I've decided now. Not everyone is around to post, but the story must go on! If you do use someone's character, you must stick truly to them and not change anything major. This is simply for making characters tag along if we go somewhere, or get them to answer a question if you need it. This should only be used for small, insignificant moments, but used none the less. If it doesn't work, I'll fix it. ((Also, BOLD their name and what they do so they can easily see what happened.))
The sanity and health bars shall remain if we desire to keep track of how our characters are fairing, however there is no longer determining factors to decide when they lose or gain health/sanity, that's up to you.As stated by the first few rules, events will be managed by certain people. This doesn't mean you control it mechanically, this just means that if the group thinks it's time for some fighting, then you initiate that and describe how it starts and possibly what happens to enemy characters. You're basically a baby GM for a moment. The same thing goes with discovering islands and various other events. So, if there is something you want to be appointed to, say below. We need at least one in each not including me. More jobs may be created as they are needed and feel free to list some below.THOSE ALLOWED TO CREATE NPC INTERACTIONS
