Welcome one and all, this is a "what if" scenario concerning the planned offensive by the Provisional Irish Republican Army which was canceled after the November 1, 1987 seizing of the Libyan ship Eksund by the French Navy. In this AU the Eksund escaped capture and made it's way to Northern Ireland in which it deposited it's weapons shipment to the PIRA and therefore secured the element of surprise that the PIRA needed to be able to launch their offensive against the British Military, RUC, and UDR. The IC will begin in March 29, 1988 and will follow a cell of the South Armagh Brigade of the Provisional Irish Republican Army. This cell will play a small but ever expanding role in a major campaign designed to both sap the political will of the British people to continue the war in Northern Ireland and to bring about international condemnation upon the British Government for excessive and visible force used upon the people of Northern Ireland. This campaign is not meant to end in a military victory, but rather a political one that will force the British to surrender Northern Ireland back to the Republic of Ireland. As such the odds are heavily against us and the dice will decide our fate.

Remember the fate of Occupied Ireland depends on your characters, only in our unified struggle can we achieve victory against the British Army's might!

How this shit works: The leader (whom I randomly select) is in charge of an important cell of the PIRA. At the start of each turn, the leader will send the fellow players to go on a mission of their making on the map(though occasionally the higher ups will assign your cell missions). The leader also has to worry about their hideout being discovered, funds, recruitment, and obtaining equipment.

I prefer the term 'Freedom Fighter' but yes.

I'm reserving Terminal for later but do not fret for I have not forgotten about it. Also this game will be like Liberal Crime Squad except more serious and with more terrorism.

It's good Vulnus, the British were known to be... brutal. Anyways you can use real world gun names instead of 'captured smg' if you so wish.

Go ahead Vulnus and if you want to learn more about the history, look up 'The Troubles - UK'

Those work Vulnus though any would do since most guns the PIRA had gotten were from American backers and people from some Middle Eastern country I can't remember.
