You'd heard all about it before you'd set off across the sea. A land of opportunity, a land of discovery, a land of new beginnings.
You are new arrivals in the New World, coming in on a ship that set out several weeks ago.
"Okay, e'rybody off ta ship," the captain yells to the many passengers. All sorts rode the ship with you. Merchants, craftsmen, soldiers, clergy, farmers, and even fellow adventurers. You disembark from the ship with the others and find yourself standing on a long pier that leads inland to a quaint looking let busy town. People are bustling about everywhere, doing their own business and conversing in the streets. A few market stalls are set up in the middle of town, and two buildings in particular stand out to you immediately: the tavern and the town hall.
The Tavern housed the Adventurer's Guild, your current destination. They would probably be expecting your registration papers before you could officially begin exploring.
