"Yeah, might have gone a bit overboard. Not that I'm complaining about a road trip though."
Zidia starts unwrapping her headrags.
"We also found a very Posh gentleman at the bar, Beat the everloving Fuzz out of some goons. might be worth looking into."
Thanks Peri for making me question muh sexualities once again.

Jove Update

The westerner chuckles, and pulls out a rolled cigarette. "Yep born and raised with my Russian parents, who came here with their Russian parents. Its basically a long lineage of Soviets that eventually 'cowboy'd' up as they say over there." He pulls out a match and strikes it on the wooden beam he's leaning on, lighting his roll and flicking the flame out of the match. "Listen. You probably know or don't know why I came all the way out east, I'll let that be up for your mind to decide. But I'll warn you ahead of time. You want to head North, ignore those "goons" they aren't what you think they are; they're something worse then any biker or jackass you've fought." He takes a quick drag, and leans off the pillar. "Let that little group you found take care of it, you don't want to be mixed up in what they're in. But... I don't make decisions for you Jove, that's up to you." The stranger inhales a good bit of his smoke before he flicks it into the darkness, he starts off out of the motel. Before you know it the man is already gone.

Sergeanto

The Sergeant shifts around in his office chair, it wobbling side-to-side with each subtle movement of the hips. "It was sort of necessary, the raiders in the region need to be told about whose running the region, and if that means showing sheer power through numbers so be it." The Sergeant slides the dossier over to him and fingers through it, stopping on one section that Margret never bothered pointing out. He chuckles and mutters something along the lines of, "So it is that easy." Tossing the dossier to the side he sits straight in his chair, "So what you're basically saying is that you want to fight some bandits.... when the thing we're doing this Friday is a large scale bandit raid on some pricks that have been harassing us." He pauses for a moment before looking you dead serious in the eyes, "Well I guess they do say practice makes perfect, while we don't have any "scout" reports on the region, we do know that there are some US Remnants lurking in that region. If so I can get you and your boys some actual firepower."

Seb growls under his breath.  Margret didn't mention that they might have been Remnants.  "That'd be nice.  We'll need it.  Something for wetwork would be useful as well.  Doubt we'd be able to take them in a pitched battle without tipping the odds in our favor."

He glances around, a bit nervous, his pointed ears flattening a bit as he flicks the clawtips of his right paw together a few times.

"So...ah...you want to clue us in on why exactly we're digging about in these crystal anomalies?  Seems to be something outside most of our pay grades at least."

Irving stays in his seat listening. He thinks about how much info he could get from them. He gets up and says "I'm going back to the RV, come get me if I'm needed. bye guys, Bye Mrs Margret." he heads out of the bar and to the RV.

Jove stared at the empty space where the stranger was moments ago. The grit voice still spoke to him on repeat in his head, one phrase: "...ignore those "goons" they aren't what you think they are; they're something worse then any biker or jackass you've fought." The mechanical fingers twitched. Jove turned his head unsurprised that the man had already left, but still said strongly as though he was present, "The worst thing I've had to fight came when I wasn't able to fight. Talk about bad luck. Though I guess it's good luck now, huh." Jove shoved his gigantic fists into his pockets and started up the stairs to his room. He had to do a bit of thinking.

Des steps out of the RV, and streeetches his arms as he reaches for the sky. Then, he leans back on to the RV. It's not like he had much to do here, anyway. To him, the sooner they were out of here and back to killing things for money, the better.

Jove slipped over a wad of cash, enough to pay for his stay at the motel. "That should cover it, you can keep the change." He gave a big thumbs up to the lady, old and worn out, working the register. He started walking out with his duffelbag of clothes and other necessities which he slipped over his shoulder as he walked out of the shabby double doors out into the windless day that was winding down. Jove looked to his left. Down that road he would find the church and the people he had just met. Another group... Or, to his right, north. The direction that the strange man had advised him to go.

The mechanical fingers twitched.

"Suppose it's best not to push my luck." Jove walked off the steps and began the long walk north.

Crystals

Your commander pulls some papers out of his drawer reading: "Munitions Request". He hears Seb ask about the crystals that The Deliverance Co. so desperately want, "I don't really know, some say that the Crystals have some ancient power held within, others say its what remains of those nuclear bombs that went off all those years ago. The Main HQ wants it and so we'll retrieve it." With that he scribbles quite a lot on the paper and slides it to you, a paper filled with a page-long list of weapons, ammo, and various tools that your Company has acquired over it's years of service.

Your commander then gets up from his desk and heads into his dorm, a room opposite of The Preacher's Office. Looking at the paper it says to take it into the Armory and hand it in to whomever is currently occupying the place.

The Recoiling

The man looks up from the bins and turns around to face you, "Da' you again, how many times 'ave I told ya' to get a better fecking gun!?" Clearly his irritation towards non-Soviet weaponry is becoming clearer and clearer each time you show up with a new XM8 problem. "Juw' and yer' fish-lookin' guns! Pa', back in my days we used reliable guns like AKs and RPKs, non of this M4 and XM6 shit!" He goes on about this ranting and raving as he fishes you a new recoil spring out from a rubber bin with the word's: "Zaweri's Special Parts Bin" scrabbled on it with felt-marker. He takes the spring out and places it on the table, while him ranting basically falls into the background, "-didn't have to replace the parts everie' two fookin' seconds either-"

The Uncoiling [JOVE-UPDATE]

Your thoughts occupied you for the long walk, thoughts of home, that dreaded event far East, those smokey gambling halls back in NeoVegas, and all the people you've left in search of some better purpose. But who was this Soviet-Hat wearing man, it was a peculiar case indeed and one that- wait a minute. You pause and look around, your surroundings are much different from where you were earlier; short and stubby oak trees, flowing plains, and the smell of burning bandit camps were now replaced: with a chilly breeze blowing in between snow covered pines and grasses, with only the smell of nature to keep you occupied. "Just how far north am I?", you wonder as you take in the surroundings.

Up ahead on this cracked and mostly nature reclaimed road you see a sign made of rusted metal with white paint smeared on it to spell out: "THE GREAT WHiTe NORtH" Further up the road you can barely make out what looks like a settlement, maybe someone there can tell you what or where you're at.

Seb tilts his head quizzically.  Guess the conversation's over.  He couldn't help but feel a bit paranoid about the whole thing, but there were other matters to attend to of more immediate concern.  Namely securing this gear so he could get some sleep and visit the medicine shop in town belonging to Jared's brother tomorrow morning before heading out again.  A completely legal establishment, he assured anyone who asked why he was in there so often, though he never elaborated.

Shrugging, he picks up the form and turns to leave, looking over what was marked off as he makes his way over to the armory, giving curt nods to any who greeted him along the way.

Des, having succumbed to boredom a few minutes ago, has his sword out and is balancing it on his palm. He's not having much success, and the sword clatters to the ground after a few seconds. "Dang." he says, and picks the sword from the dust and tries again.

Zaweri takes the recoil spring off the table.
"And how many times do I need to tell YOU, I DON'T FUCKING USE RUSSKIE WEAPONRY! I'd rather die than touch the shit my father was shot with!"
He leaves the tent, disgruntled and walks back in to the RV to tinker with his XM8 again.
"That fucker with his russkie weapons... He should be glad I haven't shot him in the face yet..."
