Races: Greenskins: Your typical orcs, they have more scrap, and are slightly smarter.
            Brownskins: Orcs living in the desert, they have adapted to the heat. Survive better in desert regions.


Estimated Population: ~120 billion across 14 planets.

Diet: Whatever they find they eat.

Communication: Physical Speech.

Culture: Orcish culture is based around scrap. They construct their buildings, weapons, vehicles and armor out of it. They use nuts, bolts, screws, nails and such as their currency. They are very racist and xenophobic, but are capable of dealing with other races with 'inferior' intelligence.

Technology level: 7, but they have tier 8 stolen items

General behavior: Extremely aggressive, but ingenuity and creativity exist in their race.

History: Orcs first appeared 4 millenia ago. They originally were tribesmen, surviving in the barren wastelands of Terra Adimere. Eventually they were attacked by an more advanced species, but to their fortune, the attackers suffocated in their poisonous atmosphere. They quickly started to learn how to use the spaceship and weapons the attackers brought. After they got the spaceship, they hijacked and destroyed other ships flying close to them, and used the ship's tractor beam to bring space scrap to the planet. They started building more ships, and that's where they are at now.

Zaweri, I felt like you could've done a lot more with this since WAAAAGH Orcs in space is pretty... generic. Also I feel like level 8 tech is a bit high since all they do is steal shit and can hardly build stuff for themselves. Also (just a curiosity of mine) do the Orcs own those 14 planets (which just so happen to have O2 because Orcs can't terraform) or are they currently WAAAAGHing there?

It's sort of difficult to do decent Space Orcs/Orks without ending up with WH40k Orkz.
Assuming you're going with Tolkien-esque orcs that are dumb, brutish, resourceful and war obsessed it's difficult to not to end up with Orkz.

If you go for any other imagination of Orcs though, it works out a little differently. 

Honestly, maybe it just is what it is.
It's not worse for being similar to WH40k, it just is its own thing.

If you want it to be less WH40K-esque though then you'd probably have to change something significant about the Orcs, how they work socially or their level of technological advancement or intelligence.
For example something that is very rarely seen is incredibly intelligent Orcs, as smart as humans, maybe even smarter, yet still with the physical build of a typical Orc.
Using their teeth as currency is the first thing that screamed WH40K to me, maybe their form of trade and bartering is more physical based, where they fight one another, one on one, for an object they want, which ever one fought better, not just the winner, takes the object and if fighting is not appropriate then they'll use things like screws and bolts as currency since they're always in such high demand.
Another thing is most Orcs 'tower' over humans at around 7ft tall, however if something was really going to tower over me I'd image it to be about 9ft tall, I mean it'd be absolutely huge, fucking terrifying but make a massive target, cause their ships to be quite large and make it somewhat difficult for them to crawl through the ships of other races, but they just pull them apart anyway.

Suggestion to change the term racist to xenophobic, it may fit better if they're hostile to any race but their own purely because they think they're better.

Perhaps both then yeah, I didn't realise that the racism meant Greenskins and Brownskins hated each other, I assumed it meant they just hated anything different from them, like other races. Not sure how I didn't realise that.

A 'peaceful' race of Orcs is a somewhat unusual concept, violent within their own culture but perfectly able to conduct themselves around other races, when they choose to. Perhaps still being xenophobic and yet being able to deal with the 'inferior' races who's ability to recycle scrap is pathetic compared to theirs.
