I mean you're not wrong there, it is essentially a commercial venture at this point rather then an actual religious thing judging by most people I know, well and the news that too and all the sales. At least Christmas has good movies about a fat...old...man who knows when your asleep...well, Christmas really is kind of just a big commercial thing now. Also thinking about it now Santa is kinda creepy.
Not to say people don't view it as a religious thing, but yeah mostly it's now just 'come buy all the things'.
