Utterly Mad

The British Empire died long ago, some of us don't seem to have come to terms with that yet though.
Scotland will, and should, vote for independence, they unanimously voted to remain in the EU and so did Northern Ireland, but our old racists and the Welsh forced them out. Fortunately in the event of Scotland voting for independence, there have been talks about taking Liverpool with them, which means I'd live in Scotland and not have to deal with our horrific government.

Many are hailing today as British Independence Day, an odd parody of the American Independence Day. What many of them don't realise that today marks to first day of a slow and horrid decay into obscurity, as we struggle to remain relevant in the world after losing the last thing that made us worth a damn. Our currency is in decline and while most are saying it will recover, Britain never truly will. We've forced the man in power so many of us despised to step down, only to learn he'll almost certainly be replaced by someone far worse than him. Today marked the day we broke ourselves for a short sprint towards glory we only imagined was there as politicians lied to us and laughed.
The people who will never truly experience the effects of what they've done are forcing their children and grandchildren into a world of uncertainty, one with a rather bleak looking future, as they sit there smugly thinking about how good they are for making Britain a stronger country, while being completely oblivious to the idea of power through peace and unity.

Today is a sad day for any British person anywhere in the world, but it doesn't matter because we're all off down the pub for a pint.
