Wait what?
It's illegal to pay your fucking phone bill?
I'll need some explanation here.
So here's how it goes. For the last month and a half or so, AT&T has been jerking us around in regards to paying our phone bill. My stepfather went in to pay the bill and they wouldn't allow him to do it without a copy of his bill. So he left and came back a couple weeks later with his bill and the money. They then told him he couldn't pay them in cash or check, so he left again. Last week he went in to try and pay the now overdue bill but they wanted his social security number, refusing to give them that, he left and the day before yesterday he went in to try and pay the bill again. This time they didn't ask him for his SSN, and instead asked him for a pin number. This pin number was not explained, and had never in any email or letter been given to us. We had also not set this mysterious pin number. They refused to allow him to pay the bill so he got upset and left. The AT&T store then called the police and told them that he was threatening them and their customers AND that he was refusing to pay his phone bill (he wasn't doing any of that and the customers who were present couldn't back up the stores claims) and the police served him with a notice of no trespass. Basically a document stating that if he were to set foot in an AT&T store, he would be arrested and tried in court for trespassing.
