Changing subject because eh, my only concern here is whether Russia gets pissed off.
Recently got a little folding saw thingy, intending to carry it in my backpack. Main draw is it's within the legal limit for blade length here in Texas, because I figure if any law would cover carrying a folding saw, it'd be knife law. Then I decide to tst it when I get home.
The target was a good old, bog-standard cheap plywood broomstick I had on hand. Folding saw took a bit because it kept binding up, partly because it seems to be too thin.
So I decide to test some other stuff to compare it. Had a fairly beefy-looking leatherman-style tool with a "saw" blade. Little bitch couldn't even cut up to half its blade width.
So then I get the little wire saw I've never really tested, that's been in my backpack for years. I had to pin the stick don with a boot, but it bound up a lot less than the folding saw, in ways that didn't require me to pull the saw free entirely, and it took half the time to cut through. I honestly figured it'd be the shittier of the three.
