Probably not going to post much in regards of content. For the following: 1. Since I have online school I can get finals done anytime before the 22nd of this month, I'm getting them all done tomorrow/this weekend which basically means I'll loathe my computer for a few days. 2. Parents are wanting to spend some time with me before the 22nd when my siblings are done with school.

And finally the biggest and last reason of them all. Numero three-o: I started playing Bloodborne again since my new PC hype has worn off and all the games I've been dying to play, I've since burned out on. That and most of the games I own for the PC are sandbox survival games or competive FPSs and I kinda want a break from it.

I just accidentally killed that (Darkseeker Paal?) electric beast in one go. I was looking for him and now that I fought him I'm kinda disappointed how easy the fight was; I used my Hunter's Axe with the Empty Phantasm Shell's buff on it.

I beat Bloodborne and got what I'll call the second ending... I really don't know how to feel about it. On the one hand: Awesome now I can get into lore discussion and pick this game apart! But the problem is this: Everyone already has and the stuff they found was stuff I had already figured out when I first picked up the game... and that's what sucks.

I love Bloodborne's aesthetic and atmosphere, I hate how "short" it felt (its probably because I'm a fucking Souls vet at this point), and I feel that if I spent more time on the chalice dungeons I'd probably have had the better experience,

Bloodborne really suffers from a lack of content.  There just aren't all that many weapons, items or covenants, which leads to a serious lack of build variety and experimentation, as well as it being somewhat lore deficient, since a significant portion of the background lore in Souls games comes from the item descriptions.

Chalice dungeons are really not that interesting, because there's only one unique weapon you can get from them, and the rest is pretty much just grinding through procedurally assembled prefab rooms for randomly statted bloodgems, and it takes far too long to get any of the interesting ones, leaving the bloodgem system kinda samey and boring unless you invest inordinate amounts of time into it.  Otherwise, you just slot in the largest +ATK% gems you've got into your weapon of choice with no real thought whatsoever.

I honestly haven't touched the game since the first week and a half after I got it, and the half week was me struggling to justify to continue playing the game.

The aesthetic and core gameplay is fantastic, but it really does feel a little barebones in a lot of ways.

I turned on my PS4 for the first time since March yesterday, then just turned it off again.  There's still nothing else to play on the damn thing, and I'm just going to keep whoring my PC with the Witcher 3, GTAV, KF2, a bunch of stuff in late May, and then more all throughout summer.

Yeah pretty much this, I know that there's going to be DLC its kinda obvious. But the game feels unfinished in certain areas, I mean there's spots in the world where you can see the bottom part of the skybox, there's alleys and doors that look like they can be opened but don't or they lead to a blocked off dead end. I really, really, really want to keep liking the game because its the one of the first games to do Lovecraft right (in the gamey sense); but like you said, there isn't enough there to justify playing it that much.

At least the PVP community is strong... well its stronger in DS2 due to Dark Souls 2's focus being more on PvP and Jolly Cooperation.

Yeah now that'd I've freed myself from my Bloodborne shackles I've had a on and off gaming experience with Darkest Dungeon. My latest raiding party contained my tank, crazy sex addict, and godfearing jester named Honkinator, he died horrifically in a fight with the apprentice necromancer along with his friend the Honk Mother. My favorite healer died, and finally my knight Pope Crunch went insane and pretty much committed Sudoku in front of his comrades.

I'd love to play Darkest Dungeon some more, but I also want to just wait until the game's actually done so I don't burn myself out on it.

Yeah, same. I reinstalled it, but I haven't touched it since. I should check if there's been updates though.
I think I'm gonna reinstall Cataclysm though and start playing that again.
If I can tear myself away from Monster Hunter, anyways.

On the topic of Bloodborne, here are a few confusing design decisions that seem to do very little to benefit the game and instead just make everything more tedious.

1. Blood Vials and Quicksilver Bullets.  Why are these even lootable consumables?  Why don't they just automatically restore your stock when you respawn without needing to have them in storage?  Sure, I guess it theoretically means that you can go for longer without needing to hit a lantern, but the much more damning downside is that if you run out of these, you have to go and tediously farm for more echoes or drops to replenish your stock (ESPECIALLY **** WITH THE LONG LOAD TIMES TO GET TO YOUR FARM SPOTS).  It takes away far more than it adds to the game, and Estus Flasks from Dark Souls were a much better healing mechanic overall because it didn't waste my TIME.

2. Costs of consumables increases as your progress through the game.  This serves no purpose other than being a sink for your blood echoes, which probably wouldn't have been a problem to begin with if there were actually weapons, armor, and other bits and bobs you'd want to spend your **** on and experiment with.  Just makes me waste my TIME for basic supplies.

3. The lack of high end upgrade materials.  This only further discourages experimentation because there's only one Blood Rock in the entire main game, and you have to farm a ton to get Blood Chunks just to get your items to +9.  They could've like...made them available for purchase for large amounts of blood echoes to serve as a sink instead of just bumping up consumable costs across the board, but they didn't, because **** you.  Go waste your TIME running boring ass chalice dungeons that don't give you anything interesting so we can pretend our game has more content than it actually does.

4. Having to go back to the Hunter's Dream to fast travel between areas.  Why?  Just give a list like in Dark Souls 2 that allows you to port between areas without having to triple the number of load screens for no goddamn reason so I don't have to waste my TIME looking at your limited as hell item lore entries.

Probably more my pet peeves about the game that waste my TIME that kills my desire to play it again until they have a real content update for the thing, but there they are.

That bloodborne discussion really belong in the 'What are you currently playing?' thread in last man gaming.

Nah, I'd say Last Man Posting is sort of off topic in every way possible enough that game discussion is fine here, since it followed the flow of the thread.

Also I am concerned about how many people read the moderator forum, there are things you couldn't even imagine in there.
It's also where we talk about how much we hate Rhodri.
