Snakes are one of those creatures that I look at and think "ok, if I can identify this and deem it non-venomous, I'm going to try and catch it. If it is venomous or I cannot recognize it though, Imma leave it alone." My stepbrother once almost ran over a rattle snake on his bike once, it took the snake going after him to get him to stop trying to hit it with a stick. Fuckin idiot. In other snake news, my stepfather and I moved a truck canopy and found a tiny garter snake curled up underneath. Only a couple inches long. Snakes are weird to hold too in that you can grab them and know you have a good grip on them, but it still feels like they are squirming out of your hand.

Last time I've encountered a snake was during some heavy rain a month or so ago, it was a tiny little thing just sitting on one of the stepping stones thanks to the yard being flooded. :V

We've seen a few snakes around where I live but my knowledge on snakes isn't that good. Killed a few with a shovel or fire axe that I own for some reason though, mostly at the request of my mother.

Honestly if they would stay out of the yard that we let our dogs into I'd leave them alone but they keep going into the back yard and it'd be just my luck one of them would be poisonous and bite one of the dogs.

Welp, I was playing Freerice.com guessing word definitions and I found an interesting one.
Pusillanimity, it means cowardice. Now I am curious if this is the origin of why we call someone who is a coward a pussy, other then it being a vulgar word for female genitalia; or is it that pusillanimity is itself derived from the word pussy.

It most likely is, words do have this tendency to get shortened over time.
