I didn't expect Hunter to post that over there, I just thought it was ironically funny that I came across it on Reddit and posted it in the sort of, "Lulz this argument probably could've been the avoided if both parties were such asshats. With me being the TF2 of asshats." But after seeing most of the posts back over on the Cata (AJ NEEDS TO LURK THERE MORE INCASE OF BROKEN GLASS) Corner, I can agree on three things.
1. [Same point about KA101's Political Pushing being wrong]
2. [The Almighty Granola Bar proving to be a bigger jerkoff in my eyes then originally intended, followed by the usual 'its both our faults mentality']
3. [The same old things of gender equality and blah, blah, blah, this forum drama has entered from Serious, absurd, to the point where I'm going to start silencing this shit whenever it begins. Yes, we stood up for what we personally believed in and got the fuck outta Dodge; Yes, it sucks we left and that the Mods became such 'somethings' during the course of a week followed by both parties trying to save face; and Yes, it should've been handled better.]
Listen, I'm glad the argument panned out the way it did. We're not fucking up their forum, we're here, might as'well get over it. More and more people will come here and join in the party for reasons of missing us, or because granny accidentally mistyped her medications name and somehow ended up here.
And you know what, this thing is a great analogy for the Cold War! Think about it, both sides are staring each other down, their hands are on the buttons ready to wipe each other out simply due to disagreements on politics "slurs"; one side decides to make a move a bit to far and turns the Cold War, hot. Both sides are slamming the shit out of their Nuclear Launch buttons and retreating to the shelter. Both sides both receive lukewarm victories knowing that both sides are unhappy and/or destroyed.
One side managed to retreat to the bunkers in time, but fucked up the others country, causing many creative and inventive minds to die in the nuclear inferno. While the other side is currently trying to rebuild from the ashes using new blood and their leaders to rile up the masses to rebuild, but it isn't working; too many have either realized both sides are monsters, taking up residence where it doesn't carry the radiation or hatred towards the other side because of it. In the end, both will either crumble or rise from the nuclear wasteland they created by their hands.
