seriously, how in the fuck? Oh, and my weather is bipolar. One day it's too hot, the next it's FUCKING SNOWING! Like seriously, I swear Texas weather can't decide whether it wanted to be cold, hot, or just pleasently warm.

Texas sounds like it would be a wonderful place if it wasn't so hot. In Indiana I can still find places with snow.

If the weather would just settle on one or the other so I could get used to it I'd be fine. But in all seriousness, it can get to triple digits at some points in the year, which is usually the points when you really start hearing about people leaving their kids or animals in their cars, which is just plain stupid.
It's kind of weird living in such a majorly conservative state when you've got my personal ideals, but so far I've met some accepting folks who don't try and beat me over their head with their views, and respect mine. Unless it's gun control, then everyone I've met agrees with me that open carry is stupid.

As a self admitted, avid gun nut, even I have to agree open carry is dumb. Really, carry in general seems like the sign of a sick society. I like living somewhere where I don't feel the need to carry a weapon around all the time, and never felt that way when I lived in the U.S.

I'm personally fine with concealed carry, because that allows them to feel safe (I guess...) and allows me the same. I am personally uncomfortable approaching a person who is obviously armed.
There are a couple of reasons, one being I'm not trained in how to use guns, another being I don't know the mental state of the individual in question. I don't know if their depressed, or angry, or WHAT, I have no idea if this rather obviously armed individual is going to go off or if he's going to be fine.
I'm fine with concealed carry because then I don't know that their armed, so I have my peace of mind, and they have theirs.

In the UK, you get in a bar fight, smack the shit out of each other, both come out of it alive (usually).
In the US, you get in a bar fight. He pulls a gun on you. You are now VERY dead (Usually).

I mean, I like guns for target shooting and collecting, but it makes me nervous that almost anyone could have a handgun. I think that a psychologist should personally look over ANYONE trying to get a gun license. After that, well, you are mentally stable, so do what you will. Yearly renewing of the license too, so as to account for sanity slippage.

Aw, I missed out on the climate conversation. Fuck it, I'll talk about it anyway.

I live in Washington, where it's always raining. But at least doesn't get into any droughts like California is in.

Y'know, in Texas we have a saying "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." I can confirm that this is completely true, and mostly everyone I know carries an umbrella in their car, even on the sunniest of days. It gets cray in the late spring.

Definitely thinking there's ghosts in the forum, did some experimentation, pretty much just me when I started, seems to be rather quiet around this time

(was just after looking at my profile just before replying to that thread [but not actually posting])



(look at that .02 of a second difference)


(guest 2 just under my name is likely my phone in this case, part of trying to see if it is legit guests with mixed up activities and again went to post a reply in that thread but not actually post it, just prior to checking activity)

Previous guests are lingering showing previous activities


Doesn't seem to occur every time.

Either way twould seem something is bugged on the forum.
