PREMADE TEA? MADNESS, IT WOULD BE COLD!?

It's not just for making tea though, its for heating up food and anything else too, but it's original purpose was just to make tea.

Simply put: Moral
Odds are they did their best to give the troops a decent quality tea that simply would have been unachievable with a premade tea. Give your boys better stuff and it tends (according to my limited knowledge) to help moral. Also, brits like hot tea...which I don't get but to each their own.

Cold tea would destroy moral, how would we fight knowing all we had was cold tea?

Also I'm not entirely sure on the accuracy of this one, but it seems likely, that part of British Field Hospitals supplies include tea for wounded Soldiers.
