The childs background still determines what information IS available.

My kid gets supplied with whatever accurate (or at least not completely bullshit) information is available from which to draw her own conclusions. I'm flawed in many ways and do not think I should form opinions for her, and think that had I been given that sort of opportunity, I'd be less flawed.

i actually looked at all religions. i just found it all a bit silly. then again, everything is a bit silly, so take that as you will.

Should check out discordianism. I felt the same way but have always been "spiritual"(to use the hippy term). Hailing Eris just seems to fit that mindset much better than a real religion.

i can speak from experience, that burning holy texts, even if pragmatic or accidental, is a BAD idea.
