I was actually about to suggest the split but it looks like you beat me to the punch. Also I said it was alright for him to believe in a Spooky Sky Ghost but I wish it didn't form his opinions.

Why not? I don't see much bad or good in religions. Its how people apply them, including the belief of non-believing: Atheism. Religion's are founded on some good 'life' principals about not murdering, or committing crime or you're punished in the afterlife. And that's all well and good, but I do also see where you're coming from.

While mainly on private parts and where we stick'em. I do agree, that having a punishment for having a different belief system is kinda bullshit, that's the reason why I became Agnostic (a weird form of Agnosticism), I think there is some form of higher power, but I don't think we've found it or actually understand it.

I mean we have three full religions based off of one deity, all of them have killed each other over the decades, all of them still disagree on things, and most of them have deluded their belief structures depending on the decade. There are reasons why I don't care for religion.

But if it provides comfort or some form of belief structure to someone out there, even if they do disagree with mine. I don't care, if they're happy, they're happy. In this increasingly 'wordy' world that has actually become less violent, I don't mind having a few people that disagree or believe in something different.

I find it fascinating. And I have no idea what I just said or if it made sense, I need more Dew.
