Eh, a friend (same one that got me into DF and CDDA) tried to get me into SS13. Never cared for it.

Now, I oughta demand more feedback about modding ideas, but eh. We should sticky the modding thread so I can whine about it there instead of here. :V

The only problem with this is there are 70 fucking sprites to edit. I'm already a bit over halfway done with the actual version I intend to use. :V

Oh. Hey. Guess what? Remember Starbound? Chucklefish has been pulling a Blizzard this whole time.

So I was playing singleplayer. Remember how I've mentioned my shitty net as one of the other reasons I don't do multiplayer that much?

A friend joined in. While I was playing. Single. Player. You know WHY Chucklefish can't figure out how to add a pause function? Because they can't figure out how to make a single player mode that isn't "host a server without TELLING you it's really online" mode.

This is some Diablo 3 horseshit right there.

That is fascinating on a whole new level of fascination. BUT I recall that starbound, before it's release was planned to be like that. A sort of MMO terraria. It isn't exactly that now, but still. Was never meant to be a single player game. I wish I could find the evidence, but they deleted their "road map" the moment they started deviating from it.

How did your friend join, exactly? Did he connect via IP or via "Join friend's game" or whatever.

He connected via the Steam option, yeah. Still, it was a nasty surprise since I had no way of knowing that it was actually running a listen server. :V
