Utterly Mad

Caconym gathered anyone of importance who was still alive for a important war meeting, a look on her face like she lost her sanity. "I have a plan, to beat the dwarves, we do nothing! Well not quite nothing we hide underground seal up access to the surface. We can can live of the food stockpiles we have and hunt cave creatures if necessary. Maybe they get bored and go home."

So so the siege ended with the merchants and their animals who had been stuck at Stlaybar being the only casualties of the 'battle'.

Late in winter the 'bolds are now back at the surface, at long last reinforcements migrants arrive a sight for sore eyes and much looting to be had of the merchants.

Spring has arrived at with it the end of Caconym's reign. It had been a long year she had lost many in her first battle as leader and nobody of importance in the second, she was eager pass rule over to the next sucker person, before things got really bad.

Saltmummy had been acting strange since the first siege looking for a thing called a 'traction bench', salt has clearly gone insane, typical shamans.

Here's what the surface is like, i didn't just build a wall I built a moat (which almost killed Wilson with constant collapses)

there's a 5-6 tile gap on the left edge that's cut off in the picture

Also if somebody has a good idea for blocking creatures from the caverns from coming up while still allowing 'bold to access the caves, that'd be great.
