I'm not sure I'd be...bold enough to try that, if I ever found a place that had it.

Eh, I'd totally try it. That is, when I can drink in places that would serve it.

Hell, which is probably now, I dunno the drinking age in Mongolia.

I might have to bring it full circle and take a turn if no one else can be harassed to do it. :V

I think I've harassed everyone harassable. Once they see how awesome this place is, they'll conform.

I've got no objections to another RD turn while everyone's coming to this realization though.
Gone. Cheers guys.

Very well then. Got Caconym's save, and might as well start it up. First thing I see is derpcat wrapped up the whole DF. Not really needed, but eh. And luckily I remembered to change my init settings, as in between turns I'd lowered the population caps to run tests.

First thing I see is the massive clusterfuck of crafts storage, followed by the "holy shit" moment where I realize we have way more bolds than we did earlier. Also, Caco is lazycat. Not yet sure whether I'll merely finish this year, or finish his turn and do a year for me. Someone also hasn't been caging newborn puppies.

Spoiler (hover to show)

Chaosvolt found herself lost in thought. Thinking on the past year. How long had he...er, she been meditating in the temple? Long enough to have forgot about who was in charge here now. And to have forgot that it was only mid-summer.

Apathetic was here as well. "Hey. Caconym's been kinda...out of it lately. Never did find that office after she decided she wanted to be an overseer." Apa said. "Just bringing us stuff and fishing. And sometimes bringing us fish she catches. Like a...one of those fucking fuzzy things." The chieftain just kinda giggled a bit at that. "Right, a cat. So she hasn't been bossing people around like we're supposed to?"

"Well, no one else has been all that eager to sort pushing people around like I am. Besides, was getting kinda worried about you just sitting here. I was gonna tell you you don't have to go an wait here until the next bone-casting, but fuck it." the warmaster remarked. Funny that Apathetic had been lingering there an awful lot too. "I mean, I figured next year maybe I'd pester Salty to, ahem...divine the shit out of the bones and get you in charge another year. Not like anyone else besides the three of us are that eager to do anything."

Finally Chaosvolt stood up. "Maybe we shouldn't wait then. I know the place has gotten a lot bigger since last time, but..." She hesitated, before making her way out of the temple. "I'll manage. Take a look around, tell Caconym where her office is, figure out what needs to be done, maybe carve some furniture. Or chop a tree down, I haven't done that in a while."

Spoiler (hover to show)

After all this blathering, Apathetic had apparently dozed off. Clearly, the rest of this year is going to be derp.

On a side note, I am fucking terrible at writing in-character. Time to order 50 wooden bins. o3o

I think you do good at in character. Also, that line captures The Warmaster pretty well.
Gone. Cheers guys.

Well, I see some injured kobolds and I assume a lack of doctors, and a fuckton of bins just yearning to be made. Decided I'd name a random available bold RedVulnus and conscript him as a medic. So long as some crude attempts and healing are made, better than nothing. Also made a random unnamed idler a healer too.

Place is a fluffy of activity and at least one source of "patient not resting" job cancellations. We also ran out of saale. Who's been encrusting everything with rocks? We could be making ammo with that. D:

Screenshot:
Spoiler (hover to show)

What. We can't brew plant stuff. And sure as hell can't eat this. We can however eat the badger that is out there being a pest. And then some random woodcrafter scored the kill after getting bitten in the leg. Motherfucker just choked that bastard right out. This one is getting named as Blitztkrieg, after having spotted A Blitzkrieg of Butts on our recent activity. o3o

And now this turn is a confusing mish-mash of in-character and out-of-character.

Meanwhile, Chaosvolt was finding herself off to get a drink, pondering a need for more carpenter's workshops due to the only one being in use. She was rather concerned that no one had been told that tending to the few injured around requires someone to be a healer. This led to her hastily bossing around the first two that looked halfway competent and were available. Despite it all, it feels good to be back in charge.

Additionally, she discovered her plan to secure a safe, sunny space for grazing animals needs to be updated. When in doubt, go bigger.

Hm, can kobolds grind Longland grass, single-grain wheat, and sorghum into flour? And the millet, actually.

And....can they not eat raw plants that're normally eaten raw ingame, like the amaranth and fisher berries? Maybe I missed the memo. Are bolds carnivores?

Kobolds are carnivores, yes. In vanilla DF they're outright bonecarn, which I changed to regular carnivore because bones are valuable. :V

On top of that, someone has to boss the bolds around to get the now-grown puppies out of their crowded pastures and into...a crowded cage. Eh, at least they won't fight in there. Kobold logic. On top of that, one of the breeding dogs there apparently died. ;w;

Screenshot:
Spoiler (hover to show)

Well, congrats random bone carver. You are officially fucked. And now this is gonna become an endless annoyance.

Why. Do we have. A giant pile of random withered plants in the middle of nowhere? I also see we have one of those failures of a bolt recovery operation behind the archery targets.

And I see what I think is the cause of Apathetic's job cancellation spam. It seems someone assigned her a wardog that had been chained up to detect thieves. Also, someone unbuilt the thing that lets me use the hatch trick. Oi. D:

Screenshot:
Spoiler (hover to show)

One of our casualties has fucking finally made it out of the hospital. Presumably the chieftain is quite proud of how quick the recovery was once someone was finally told to do things. Blitzkrieg's minor injury also made a rapid recover. The third injured bold though...Chaosvolt, and indeed none of the other bolds she talked to, has any idea how to handle such a severe injury.

Also, eating the fancy airlock device also ruined the floor above it. Nice one. :V

Screenshot:
Spoiler (hover to show)

Meanwhile, been reworking the area around the depot and entrance, so we can actually use Apathetic's half-thought-out battlements, when I saw this bugger skulking around. Named him, and will recruit him once he finished the hunt.

The again, this guy kinda sucks at hunting. Aim harder, CYKA. Sent some real bolds to finish this thing off while Aj runs off due to no ammo.

Chaosvolt, meanwhile, begins to consider a potentially dire plan. That one bonecarver is still lingering with a busted leg, and may never get out of bed again. This has led to her pondering a rework of the hospital. Surely a kobold in need of healing deserves their own proper room, right? Plus, if they need to...do something terrible to give a wounded bold some peace, they can just lock a door and forget about what they've done.

Screenshot:
Spoiler (hover to show)

Uhoh. I dunno if it's from all the stuff we have to do, or lack of food space. I'll designate more and demand more barrels just in case. And...it is done. The injured bonecarver, even after being released from the bed that was deconstructed underneath them, never moved from the spot and was never moved by others. They've been locked away, to have the only mercy kobolds can think of giving.

The irksome thing is that this is so damn laggy that it still hasn't passed late summer. D:

I have over 120 bolds and over 100 animals. You think a couple gem windows are the cause? >.o

It contributes, albeit minorly. Failing that, the warmaster will kill most animals when she gets back in.
Gone. Cheers guys.
