Drosme and Mortis had attracted several of the younger lizards from both of their Forts with tales of the battle. It was odd seeing the mixture of red and grey in a single building instead of a battle, but it was a welcome oddity. A waitress walked over to their table and put down several mugs of drink before sauntering over to another table, with half of the young warriors watching her go. Drosme let out an amused hiss and pulled the mouth of his Shemagh to take a drink from his mug.
Watching the young warriors he let out another amused hiss and said "I think they have stopped listening Mortis, I think another part of their bodies is doing the thinking now."
As a tide of heads turned their way back to looking at the two Drosme and Mortis burst out laughing, with Mortis falling backwards and spilling his drink. It was a few minutes before the two could speak again, with Drosme idly watching the young warriors in front of him, all of whom were trying to hide their embarrassment. "I think they want to hear another story Mortis, so why don't you get off the floor so we can tell it."
Mortis hauled himself back onto his chair and said "I don't remember getting this drunk this fast."
"Yes, well we were just telling them about the second charge of Fort Death's soldiers. They were on their war horses, bearing down on us. The spearmen took position and hauled most of them off their horses on the end of a pike. The rest the swordsmen hauled off of the horses and killed while they were still on their arses." Drosme said, handing Mortis another drink.
Mortis nodded and said "Yes, I remember hauling one of their High Guardsmen off of his horse and jabbing him in the throat with a sword. The other warriors with me cut his head off and threw it back towards their army."
"Yes, and then came the wave of their warriors. That is when the battle really started." Drosme said.
Mortis said "But that's enough for today. I need to go sleep, and you boys need to be ready for battle. Or maybe to catch up with the waitress and see which one of you she likes."
The young warriors scrambled off since they had been dismissed, with several of them heading straight for waitress. Drosme looked over at Mortis "Five pieces says a Red get's the girl."
"Make it ten and I'll accept the bet." Mortis said.
Drosme tossed the coin down and the two settled to see what would happen for the night.
