Andrew puts the Yukon backpack on and also straps in the baseball bat in place of his electrical oioe weapon which is shortened to crossbow bolt sized and put into the crossbow.
He takes off a strap from the other backpack and turns it into a string. He then stuffs the jerky in the unused backpack and moves back down to the exploded house. He ties the string to the remaining strap and then ties the other end to the trigger of the crossbow which he lines up with the baitpack and hopefully keeps hidden from easy sight.
