As a Southern Nevadan might I say that it can rain a lot here in a desert. This past 1 or 2 weeks we have had some thunderstorms during the night. Too bad we rarely ever get snow during winter, the best we get is a little snow that melts within the hour. Normally it will just hail on us hard instead of snow. Also about once a year we get a severe flash flood. Though too be fair Las Vegas always seems to flood if there is just a little rain.

But yeah here in Sandy Valley consistently will flood once a year, and in some parts it can get up to waist deep water.
These thunderstorms have been nice though, cooling down the weather because it had been unbearably hot before the storms rolled in..
