Most likely, the reason why they got a whole new cast fir that new ghost busters is because the actors from the original are because they're all too old or too dead to act in this one. They literally can't get the original cast.
Who gives a fuck, don't remake it then unless you'll actually respect the property. That's like me doing a Homestuck movie and getting: Dane Cook, Mike Myers, and Jeff Dunham to play the main characters, not because they'd fit the role or anything, but because they're "big name stars" and it'll draw in a certain demographic.
