That's where I've been the past few days. Reading WH40K stories on 1d4chan.

So I've been looking into a few ways to get an online store set up, since it's obviously cheaper and more realistic to start a store online these days. I've got a solution I'm feeling somewhat happy with since it cuts a lot of work out for me at a more than reasonable price, as well as handling all of the production, shipping and taxes for me in a way that I'm happy with, meaning all I have to do is focus on the design, quality and advertisement of my products. I'm going to take a few weeks to get everything absolutely prepared, just to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible and then I'll have an online store set up and hopefully open with a reasonable, although not too ambitious, product line. At first it'll likely be mostly T-Shirts, perhaps a few other things, I'm still debating those.

My goal is to produce clothing that's made at a reasonable quality, nothing shítty that'll have the stitching come undone in a week, yet keeping the sale price down as far as I can, this doesn't mean I'll be cutting costs on production, I'll just be marginalising my own profit from each sale as much as I reasonably can to ensure the final sale price is as close to the production costs as I can get it, while obviously still needing to make some kind of profit from the product. The majority of the profits I do make from sales will be reinvested back into the store, which means as I make more sales I'll be able to provide even better quality for the same price.

Once my webpage is set up I'll probably post a link here so everyone can check it out, as well as having a link to it in my signature.

Im settling on a few designs, I'm going to take a little while on that since I need to give the designers enough time to work on their stuff as well as doing a few myself and then cut out all the ones I don't like.
The store/brand name I'm having issues with, I'd settled on one but I've since been having a few doubts about it, so I'm rethinking it.

For the moment I'll likely be opening with shirts, eventually moving onto other things with profit investments, assuming I have any.

I was considering Siege as the stores name but I've been having second thoughts about it. I did a little looking around and there's an online clothing store with the same name already, however it doesn't appear to function properly and doesn't look like it's been updated in a few years from what I could tell, however it does exist.

No need to worry, worldwide shipping is quite likely, at the very least shipping to America should happen. I'll do what I can to find cheap shipping costs but I don't want to go with anyone who'll lose packages, obviously. I've got a few options I'm looking at to provide the best coverage for the most reasonable price.

I've actually got an idea to send out a few 'advertising shirts' to a few people, it's going to cost me a bit of money unless people buy them but it'll mean you can help advertise the store. If someone asks where the shirt came from then let them know, or suggest it to your friends. It'll be the best way for me to spread to new customers, aside from social media. While I do have a reasonable social media presence it's less likely to equal as sales compared to people who have bought products and are then talking about them. More sales obviously means more store, which is always a good thing.

I'm looking at setting something up with a few local stores to sell through them, they're quite often okay with it since it almost always results in profit for them and helps them with their PR since they're helping the local community. It's a win-win situation.

So even since the whole think with the other forum, Ive taken up on reading Shakesville so I can get a good laugh, I recently found this one blog http://www.shakesville.com/2009/06/posted-by-arkades-deeky-erica-c.html. And ohh god I found it hilarious, the important thing is to: read the bulleted list, and then read the first comment.
