Chucklefish really needs to stop listening to the whiners and entitled fucks demanding story.
They had a story. In fact, they had opening background for each playable race that was unique.
Now every character was an earthling all along, even the Floran PC who has no damn business being on Earth. And instead of the glorious hunt, the heresy, the self-aware Glitch, or the rebel ape, we now get a shitty generic "you are a protector" story for everyone.
Yeah, they stripped away quiet a bit of the RPability with that.
Also the "I don't remember shit cuz I got the attention span of a gold fish." and the "Spread peace and love to all!"
