So Minecraft comes along and basically says, "Screw that open or closed beta shit you normally get in for, for free. Just pay this low price and you get the full game when it's released." Problem was... it was a really good game developed by a team dedicated to what they love to do make games.

Just going to pop by and correct you on that. Notch developed Minecraft by himself, it wasn't until much much later that he hired a team to keep pumping out updates. Notch having done most of the work in developing Minecraft before even hiring a team yet. Notch then Jeb up to leading the continued development on Minecraft as he turned his attention to work on his other game, Scrolls.

Maybe I'm just a dick and this sounds petty as hell, but Markus Persson pisses me off and it wasn't until he started talking like minecraft had ruined his life that I started to feel this way. This was around the time life was shitty, and the thought that the man who made one hell of a successful game was bitching and moaning about being made into a "symbol" pissed me right the fuck off. If it wasn't about the money, then fucking donate it. Don't sell off your company and buy a mansion, give the money the fuck away! Who the fuck cares what phil fish thinks? Phil fish is a whiny cunt.

In other news, the next Don't Starve expansion goes into early access tomorrow.

I noticed that the devs for RUST are either adding or planning to add some interesting things, ill list 'm out the ones that caught my eye the most.

A new semi auto rifle that seems to be modeled after the m1 carbine.
Browsable ratchets and other tools.
Scientist NPCs.
An actual m249 that you can only get out of those apache choppers.
Apache choppers.
Ak remodel.
Turrets.
Ducks
Butts
Steam stuff
Water
Exploit fixes

I think they are doing something about the AK? They have a deeper modification system they are working on, and the first weapon to be effected will be the AK. By "deeper" I mean swapping out more than just silencers and laser sights.

You are right though, it's mostly about camping the loot spawns, which is sad, but take a look at some of the cool shit out there. Some people build whole towns. Mostly it depends on what you find fun, and unfortunately a lot of people just like call of duty. The cool thing about rust though is that it is very obvious that it IS being worked on. You get that devlog every friday and get to see whats going on. I remember one of the turret announcement devlogs being greeted with "RAIDING IS DEAD! RUST IS DEAD! WHY YOU DO THIS GARRY!? WHYYYYYYY!" all becuase people could build turrets to help defend their bases, as if you cant shoot the turrets to break them AND as if making them was easy. Nothing worse than some bitch that wants the game easy for themselves but not for everyone else. They camp because they climbed that slippery slope of getting materials and raiding other players and they don't want to do anything that might be creative or fun. their sole interaction with other players, in their minds, is limited to "shoot on sight." It's all they know. On the subject of nub tool, they are making more stuff for nubs all the time and getting guns to be harder to make (high quality metal.) The only problem I have with rust is that it takes half an hour to 45 minutes to launch the game and join a server.

and I have seen. It's pretty good, puts a new spin on the don't starve equation with the water based stuff. food is pretty easy to get but the island foods dont recover as much hunger. Klei is gonna integrate it with the regular don't starve stuff at some point, but for now you have to decide if you want to play with RoG or shipwrecked. I think the crabs respawn faster than the rabbits maybe? then again, I havn't played single player don't starve in awhile, so maybe my scale is based off DST.

So the woman he had basically JUST married divorced him? That's quiet funny, and just screams "I married you for a piece of that phat minecraft money, and now that we are wed I will divorce you and take a chunk of it, laughing all the way to the bank as I do so."

Notch still felt like a dick after seeing what they did to it. (Ruin modding, outlaw pirating minecraft.)

I watched the entire TGAs with the NeverBeGameOver community in hopes of seeing Kojima explain everything with Chapter 3, the missing content. But Konami wouldn't let him.

I haven't cried in a while, but this is beyond unfair, not for me or the community. But for Kojima, dude works his ass off and he gets shafted so hard he doesn't even get to personally receive his awards, nothing, nadda, they just used us and I should've expected it. I thought Kojima would pull through, he couldn't and now he's gone silent once more.

Fuck Konami.

I think I bought mine around the Halloween update. Before that I would play on the classic or whatever it was called games. Does anyone remember that? It was like Alpha minecraft and pre-creative mode but creative mode. I remember there was the water and lava that would just keep spreading to the blocks to the side and under, flooding everywhere. There was even places that used that as a neat little game mechanic, where you built shelters to survive lava flooding.
