Still got some post-character errors, but it seems I was able to suppress them.
Been a year since things really went downhill, hasn't it? Hard to tell, since I only went near the cities on occasion, seems like it really fell apart a year ago. Decided I'd try and find civilization, but not much seems to be around.
Recently met up with a fellow traveller, seems she's on the same idea as I am. Evidently spotted a campsite on the way, but wasn't that eager to raid it until she had a good idea of the area, and so far spotted some sign of a building to the south. Weird, didn't think I was anywhere near town yet.
Decided to ask if I could do anything to help, and seems she's convinced something weird's going on lately, and wants to find a relic of some kind. Seems I'm near town, bit northeast of me, but she thought the building she saw to the south almost looks like some kind of church. Maybe this idea of the world getting all supernatural isn't as weird as I first thought, if you've got buildings just popping up in the middle of the woods.
Started heading over to the campsite found a giant stash of food looks like an abandoned attempt at building a cabin of some kind. Good place to stash things on the way to the cathedral.
Along the way I decided to cook up some game, and it seems the smell attracted a bear. I had a simple little lockbow and a crude spear I made, I went with the former. Didn't fare so well, if it wasn't for Alana I'd be sporting a lot worse than some scratches on my face.
Made it closer to the cathedral, I'm seeing a lot of movement in the distance, and not at all the friendly sort. Might want to hang back, wait until dark, and explore alone.
Something's definitely haunting this fucking place, alright. Should' ve brought her with me, but fuck. Got almost mauled to death by a mass of things clawing at me, seemingly invisible in the shadows. Few nasty bites, so I'm gonna need to find something to treat them before they get any worse. And only likely place to find that is deeper...
